Iran's export value of non-oil products to Iraq picks up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 7. Iran's export of non-oil products to Iraq during the five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) increased by 21 percent compared to the same period last year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), Director General of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran's (TPOI) West Asia Office Abdul Amir Rabihavi told reporters, Trend reports.

He said that Iran's export of non-oil products to Iraq amounted to $4.5 billion in the reporting period against $3.58 billion in the same period last year.

Rabihavi added that Iran's annual trade turnover with Iraq is about $10 billion, and between September 22, 2024, and March 20, 2025, the trade turnover is expected to increase to the mentioned value.

To note, Iran hit the ball out of the park with a total trade turnover of $61.3 billion in just five months this year.

Meanwhile, the country exported 60.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $21.9 billion abroad.
