BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. Iran's trade turnover with the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) amounted to 36.2 million tons, worth $27.6 billion, in the past Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025).
The data obtained by Trend from Iranian Customs Administration shows that during the reporting period, Iran exported 28 million tons of goods worth approximately $14.1 billion to ECO member countries, which is increase of 37.5 percent in value and by 37.8 percent in volume compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).
In the current year, Iran exported the majority of goods to Türkiye (approximately $6.9 billion), followed by Pakistan ($2.42 billion), Afghanistan ($2.41 billion), Azerbaijan ($681 million), and Turkmenistan ($572 million).
During the same period, Iran imported 8.22 million tons of goods worth $13.5 billion from ECO member countries. Compared to the previous year, imports increased by 54.5 percent in value and 36 percent in volume.
The majority of Iran's imports accounted for Türkiye ($12.4 billion), followed by Pakistan ($706 million) and Tajikistan ($93 million).
The ECO consists of 10 member countries: Pakistan, Türkiye, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
