Azerbaijan and Kuwait support establishing a forum for Muslim female MPs in the framework of their cooperation within the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union. The move will advance resolutions and decisions related to women in the Islamic world, Kuwaiti KUNA reported.
The issue of establishing the forum was raised by the head of the Kuwaiti delegation visiting Baku, Kuwaiti MP Masum Saleh Al-Mubarak, at a meeting with Azerbaijai Parliamentary Vice Speaker Bahar Muradova.
During the meeting, the sides discussed strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between the countries and coordinating Azerbaijani-Kuwaiti activities within international forums, in particular, the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union.
According to Muradova, mutual parliamentary visits will contribute to the development of relations between the countries in various fields.
