BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. In April 2024, the number of passengers arriving at Antalya International Airport in Türkiye increased by 35 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 5.77 million people, Trend reports via the Türkiye's Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
According to the ministry, in April 2024, the airport's passenger turnover on domestic flights increased by 27 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to more than 2 million people, and on international flights, by 29 percent and amounted to 3.76 million people.
The airport's cargo turnover in April 2024 totaled 67,220 tons, an increase of 23 percent compared to the same period in 2023. The airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights increased by 20 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 18,213 tons, and for international flights, it rose by 24 percent compared to the same period and amounted to 49,006 tons.
According to the information, the number of flights from the airport in April 2024 increased by 18 percent compared to April 2023 and amounted to 40,553. At the same time, the number of domestic flights carried out grew by 9 percent to 14,927, while the number of international flights rose by 24 percent to 25,626.
In April this year, passenger traffic in all airports in Türkiye amounted to 61.8 million people, and cargo turnover - 1.37 million tons.
To note, in 2023, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports amounted to more than 214 million people, whereas cargo turnover totaled 4.21 million tons.
