Türkiye’s tourism revenue reaches all-time high

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. Türkiye’s tourism revenue for the past year has hit a record level, rising by 8.3 percent compared to the previous year, reaching $61.1 billion in 2024.

The data obtained by Trend from the Turkish Statistical Institute indicates that tourism income from visitors amounted to over $60.4 billion, while revenue from transfer passengers totaled more than $600.4 million.

Notably, personal spending accounted for $43.9 billion of the revenue, with travel package expenses contributing around $17.4 billion.

The statistics also revealed increases in specific expenditure categories: travel package spending rose by 22.7 percent, food and beverage expenses grew by 7.4 percent, and international transportation costs increased by 0.9 percent.

The goal for 2024 was to attract 60 million tourists and generate a total revenue of $60 billion.
