BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. The 31st Azerbaijan Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship was successfully held at the National Gymnastics Arena from March 26 through 28, Trend reports.
Approximately 200 gymnasts from 18 clubs across the country participated in the competition.
In addition to Baku, Absheron, Sumgayit, Mingachevir, Shamakhi, Zagatala, Sheki, and Ganja cities also took part in the championship.
Competitors competed in the age categories of toddlers, pre-juniors, and juniors, demonstrating routines without apparatus, and with a hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon, and rope. In addition to individual routines, the children's and adolescents' categories also presented group routines.
Gymnasts who advanced to the final round competed for the highest scores in the final routines. The winners and runners-up of the competition were awarded medals and placed on the podium.
Over the course of three days, spectators were treated to interactive contests, with winners having the opportunity to win tickets to the international tournament.
