The British Intertek service company has conducted an external surveillance audit of integrated management system of the Georgian Black Sea oil terminal of SOCAR (Stae Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) in Kulevi, the terminal said in message.
The main objective of the audit was to assess compliance of all company processes with the requirements of international standards. The external audit covered all important operational and auxiliary processes, including planning and rendering services, productivity and customer satisfaction assessment, document control, health and safety, as well as measures to protect the environment and quality control. In addition, an external audit has reviewed the status of recommendations of the previous audit.
"The system of management of the terminal is effective and no discrepancies were found," said the message. "The company has complied with all the recommendations of the last recertification audit and has demonstrated a strong ability to improve and excellent development of its integrated management system."
"All of the company's processes comply with the "Plan-Do-Check-Act" algorithm," said the message. "In addition, members of the audit team gave several important recommendations for improvement of the integrated management system of the company, as well as preparation for the next audit."
Integrated system management of Kulevi oil terminal has been certified for all three standards by the UKAS accredited certification body in 2008, after six months since the start of operation. Since then, the terminal passed one certification, two recertification and five control audits.
The Kulevi terminal in Georgia was commissioned in May 2008. Its total capacity stands at 10 million tons of oil cargo per year. The total capacity of the tank farm in the terminal stands at 320,000 cubic meters with the possibility of increasing to 380,000 cubic meters.
