BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26.​ Uruguay has recently dipped its toes into the waters of exporting cattle to Azerbaijan for the first time, Trend reports citing Azerbaijan’s representation in Uruguay.

The company Gadoville organized the delivery of 1,700 head of Holstein and Aberdeen Angus cattle to Türkiye and 500 Angus cattle to Azerbaijan.

According to Uruguay's customs service, since the beginning of the year, the country has exported a total of 42,977 head of cattle, more than double the number for the same period in 2024 (20,000 head). The main buyers were Türkiye (27,796) and Morocco (14,673).

The FOB price for each animal was $1,100. Gadoville has expressed its intention to continue cooperation.

Additionally, according to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uruguay amounted to $85.3 million in 2024.
