It is important to reduce the risk of new conflicts in the Caucasus, EU Special Representative on Resolving Crises in the Caucasus Pier Morel said in an interview with the Echo Moscow radio station.
"Most importantly we must reduce the risk of new incidents amid tense relations in the region," Morel said. "There is one more problematic territory - Karabakh. Certain procedures and mechanisms must be designed for this purpose. It is crucial to create an atmosphere of confidence and determine rules of conduct in the region. The conflicts that can resume any time must be prevented."
