Uzbek President receives credentials from newly appointed ambassadors

Uzbek President Islam Karimov received credentials from newly appointed ambassadors of Indonesia, Egypt and France, Mohamad Asruhin, Muhammad Abdulkadir al-Hashshab and Francois Gauthier, at the presidential residence July 6.

Karimov congratulated the diplomats with their appointment to the honorable and responsible posts and wished them to successfully implement their missions in Uzbekistan, the governmental press service reported.

"Uzbekistan is a country with a strong and stable economy," Asruhin said. "Favorable investment climate and preferences for the development of business attract foreign investors to the country. In this respect, I would like to pay a special attention to development and implementation of large investment projects between our states."

In turn, Al-Hashshab said his country highly valued the level and the state of the developing Uzbek-Egyptian relations and was interested in expanding bilateral cooperation in various sectors of economy.

"Cooperation between Uzbekistan and France in trade-economic and investment spheres has a great potential," Gauthier said. "I intend to pay a special attention to these issues during my mission."
