Azerbaijani School to be Opened in Scotland

Azerbaijan, Baku, 28 August / Trend corr. G.Ahmadova / The Azerbaijani London based Caspian-Khazri school is expected to open the third school in Scotland. This was told Trend by Simuzar Balaoglanova, Director of the school.

"At present, we continue to seek for financial support to open the school in Scotland," Baloglanova said.

The aim is to keep the national culture for British Azerbaijanis. "Misir Mardanov, Azerbaijani Education Minister, will support the school," Baloglanova said.

The Azerbaijani languages courses will be opened in the school. "There are a lot of British who want to learn the Azerbaijani language," Baloglanova said.

The courses of the Azerbaijani language, history, geography and culture are treated in the second Azerbaijani school. School is located in Hammersmith Management College in the west of London.

This school is the first joint project of the South Azerbaijanis Organization in Great Britain. The London-Azerbaijan Society renders financial support to the school.

The first Caspian-Khazri school has been functioning since April 2006.
