BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. The Turkish ports handled 1.8 million tons of cargo from Spain from January through February 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the ministry, the ships flying the Turkish flag transported 165,396 tons of cargo from Spain, whereas the vessels flying the flags of other countries - 1.6 million tons.
During the mentioned period, ships flying the flag of Spain delivered 3,774 tons of cargo to Turkish ports. A total of 737,450 tons of transit cargo were transported from Spain through the Turkish ports.
Overall, Turkish ports handled 27.5 million tons of cargo in February 2023.
During this period, ships flying the Turkish flag handled 2.2 million tons of cargo via the local ports, while those flying the flags of other countries - 25.3 million tons.
A total of 5.6 million tons of transit cargo were transshipped via Turkish ports in February 2023.
Furthermore, the Turkish ports handled 59.6 million tons of cargo from January through February 2023.
During the mentioned period, the vessels flying Turkish flags transported 4.1 million tons of cargo, whereas the ships flying the flags of other countries handled 55.4 million tons of cargo through the Turkish ports.
A total of 12.1 million tons of transit cargo were shipped through the Turkish ports from January through February 2023.
