BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. Azerbaijan exported 64,200 tons of crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous rocks to Tunisia from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee indicates that revenue from the export of this volume of products amounted to $37.4 million.
In the first quarter of this year, the export volume of crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous minerals to Tunisia decreased by 128,400 tons (three times) and the value by $82.1 million (3.2 times) compared to the same period of 2024 (192,600 tons, valued at $119.5 million).
The aggregate throughput of crude oil and derivative products sourced from bituminous formations exported from Azerbaijan during the inaugural quarter of 2025 reached six million metric tons, with the valuation surpassing $3.3 billion.
The volume decreased by 411,000 tons (7.3 percent) and the value by $153 million (4.4 percent) compared to the same period last year (5.6 million tons, worth $3.49 billion).
