ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 16. The total oil production at KMG's (KazMunayGas) operating assets in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to 3.487 million tonnes, which is just 0.2 percent lower than the figure for the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.
This suggests the effective exploitation of mature fields and stable operational performance, as indicated by the company's production results for 1Q2025.
As noted by KazMunayGas, JSC Ozenmunaigas increased its oil production by 0.6 percent (1.24 million tonnes) and gas production by 3.9 percent (150 million m³), thanks to the commissioning of new wells with a high gas factor. Production at Embamunaigas declined by 0.7 percent (677,000 tonnes), but gas output increased by 9.5 percent, reaching 56 million m³.
Mangistaumunaigas reduced oil production by 1.8 percent (753,000 tonnes) but also demonstrated a 3.5 percent increase in gas production.
The resilience of these assets is particularly important as the company aims for the rational use of resources and maintaining production levels at mature fields.
