BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 21. Azerbaijan shipped out a whopping 8.2 million tons of crude oil and products from bituminous rocks, raking in a cool $4.6 billion, to 17 countries between January and April 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that the
valuation escalated by $198 million (4.5 percent) while the
throughput expanded by 1.3 million tons (18.4 percent) relative to
the corresponding timeframe in 2024.
In the specified reporting timeframe, Azerbaijan achieved an export
volume of 4.39 million metric tons of crude oil, generating a
substantial revenue of $2.4 billion, thereby positioning Italy as
the preeminent recipient of Azerbaijan's hydrocarbon exports.
