ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 20. In accordance with the recent tariff policy changes, KazTransOil has carried out an in-depth review of the export tariff for the MunaiTas North-West Pipeline Company, operating on the Kenkiyak-Atyrau main oil pipeline, Trend reports via KazTransOil.
According to the information, as a result, the tariff has been fine-tuned to match the transportation conditions currently in play at KazTransOil.
“Starting from May 19, 2025, the export tariff for NWPC (North-West Pipeline Company) 'MunaiTas' is set at 11,300 tenge per 1 ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT), which is approximately $21.47, instead of the previous 5,912 tenge (about $11.24). This reflects the need to transition to a more economically justified tariff model,” reads the statement from KazTransOil.
Furthermore, a significant proportion of the transportation
throughput for MunaiTas is directed towards the domestic sector.
The newly instituted tariff is applicable solely to export
pathways.
NWPC MunaiTas represents a strategic alliance, characterized by the
equity distribution of 51 percent held by KazTransOil and 49
percent by CNPC Exploration and Development Company Ltd.
