ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 23. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) has put forward a diverse range of light industry products, with cotton yarns and fabrics forming the backbone of the session, Trend reports via the exchange.
Significant volumes of cotton yarn were offered by private enterprises, including large consignments from IE Keremli Logistic. Among them were 220,000 kilograms of Nm 34/1 ring-spun yarn valued at over $2.49 million, alongside additional lots of Nm 20/1 and Nm 27/1 carded yarn that brought the company’s overall offering to several million dollars. Smaller but still notable consignments of Nm 20/1 and Nm 34/1 yarns were also presented by IE Bereketli Dokma, totaling more than 145,000 kilograms and exceeding $238,000 in value.
The exchange also featured extensive raw cotton fabrics, with IE Bereketli Dokma supplying more than 500,000 kilograms across several product types, collectively worth over $220,000. In the finished goods segment, dyed terry products such as towels, napkins, and bath sheets were listed with a combined value exceeding $317,000, while adult bathrobes in multiple sizes were offered from Bayramaly city enterprises at more than $24,000.
Additionally, ES Altyn Bereket introduced 1,000 kilograms of raw gabardine fabric, offered under FCA Ashgabat terms with payment deferment.
The SCRMET continues to serve as Turkmenistan’s central trading platform, where textile producers regularly present raw and finished goods for international buyers, strengthening the country’s export potential in light industry alongside its traditional energy and construction sectors.
