BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. The volume of deposits in banks in the Karabakh economic region amounted to 95.8 million manat ($56.3 million) as of August 1 this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Central Bank indicates that this figure decreased by 2.7 million manat ($1.5 million) or 2.8 percent compared to the previous month, and increased by 12.9 million manat ($7.5 million) or 15.6 percent compared to the figure for August 1, 2024.
At the same time, as of August 1, 2025, the volume of deposits in banks in the Eastern Zangezur economic region amounted to 778,000 manat ($457,643), which is 49,000 manat ($28,823), or 8.2 percent, more than a month earlier.
The volume of deposits attracted by regions in Azerbaijan as of August 1 this year amounted to 15.4 billion manat ($9.05 billion), which is 19.08 million manat ($11.2 million) or 0.1 percent more than in the previous month, and compared to the figure for August 1, 2024,(1.5 billion manat ($882 million) or 10.7 percent more).
