The Azerbaijani State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Ministry of Economic Development has imposed financial sanctions against Elvan İrmak company worth $ 60.700 manat for violation of the law "Unfair Competition", the Ministry said.
A case was filed towards Elvan İrmak because consumers were misled by the production and sale of Elvan biscuits, and violations of the requirements of antitrust laws.
The case was considered in the civil service with the participation of representatives of the company April 15. Financial sanctions were imposed on Elvan İrmak after facts of violation of requirements of the law "Unfair Competition" were confirmed", the statement said.
The violations were revealed during the monitoring of trade objects, in particular, expiry of date.
Moreover, about 6,567.5 kilograms of confectionery produced in Turkey (chocolate, caramel and wafers), 4,461.8 kilograms of biscuits "Elvan İrmak Qida Məhsulları", 150 kilograms of biscuits, and 477 kilograms of chocolate marmalade were expired.
About 72,726.2 kilograms of goods, 9,408.4 kilograms of and 63,317.8 kilograms of biscuits were expired. About 1,445 units of packages, confirming the Turkish origin of the goods were also revealed.
The company sold 267,602 pounds of goods without a certificate of conformity and hygiene.
Koroglu company selling Elvan İrmak Qida Məhsulları's products was also checked.
About 6,076.2 kilograms of goods were withdrawn as they did not comply with normative-technical requirements.
