In the first half of 2013 the revenue part of Uzbekistan's state budget was provided in the amount of 12. 242 trillion soums, and expenditures amounted to 12.173 trillion soums, a report posted on the website of Uzbekistan's Finance Ministry said.
It was earlier reported that, Uzbek parliament had confirmed the revenue part of the state budget for 2013 in the amount of 25.105 trillion soums, expenditure part was confirmed in the amount of 26.312 trillion soums, and surplus - in the amount of 1.2 trillion soums, or 1 percent of country's projected gross domestic product (GDP).
Thus, in January-June the state budget's revenues amounted to 48.8 percent of those planned for 2013, and expenditures amounted to 46.3 percent.
In the first six months of 2013 the surplus of Uzbekistan's state budget amounted to 68.7 billion soums.
According to Uzbek Finance Ministry's data, some 3.214 trillion soums were provided at the expenses of direct taxes (taxes from revenues of legal entities, income tax, fixed tax on business activities, improvement tax).
Some 6.132 trillion soums were provided at the expenses of indirect taxes (VAT, excise tax and customs duties, tax on gasoline consumption), 1.814 trillion soums - at the expenses of resource payments and property taxes (land tax, tax on use of natural resources and water resources), and some 1.171 trillion soums - at the expenses of other revenues, the data said.
In the total expenditures the expenditures on social sphere and social support of the population, exceeded 7.412 trillion soums, as well as 1.75 trillion soums on healthcare, and 4.381 trillion soums on education.
The Uzbek Government allocated some 1.173 trillion soums on economy's development, 2.7 billion soums - on support of NGOs, and 615.2 billion soums - on financing the centralized investments.
Some 513 billion soums have been spent on the maintenance of public authorities, administration and courts and self-government bodies. Other expenditures amounted to 2.456 trillion soums.
