Kazakhstan's Delta Bank increased its authorized capital by 49 percent up to 30 billion tenges (241.15 tenges/$1), the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) said Sept. 3 on its website.
"The current increase in the authorized capital will allow the bank to follow an adequate equity capital to asset growth ratio, thereby creating conditions for development to maximum extent," said KASE.
All the funds will be used for lending to Kazakh small and medium sized businesses.
Since early this year up to September 2, the bank received a profit of 4.789 billion tenges or 28 percent more than in the same period of last year.
The return on assets (ROA) in the reporting period was 1.5 percent, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at 10.1 percent. The cost to income ratio was 11.9 percent.
Delta Bank's equity capital since early 2015 grew by 46 percent, or by 15 billion tenges, and as of Sept. 2, it stood at 47 billion tenges.
The bank's assets as of Sept. 2 amounted to 321 billion tenges.
