Products worth 224.8 million manats were manufactured by metallurgical companies in Azerbaijan in January-April 2019, Trend reports referring to the country’s State Statistical Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry decreased by 16.7 percent while the production of finished goods increased by 4.8 percent in January-April 2019.
Azerbaijan produced 92,700 tons of fittings in January-April 2019, which is almost 5.2 percent less than in January-April 2018.
In January-April 2019, 4,800 tons of steel pipes were produced in Azerbaijan, that is by 74.5 percent less than in January-April 2018.
The volume of steel casting production stood at 115,100 tons in January-April 2019, which is almost 1.7 percent less than in January-April 2018.
The value of production of prefabricated building structures made of ferrous metal for the reporting period amounted to 6,483 manats, which is 58.1 percent more compared to last year.
Production of other ferrous metal constructions increased during the reporting period by 72.6 percent, reaching 4,418 manats.
Azerbaijan exported 3,190.3 tons of ferrous metal pipes worth $2.441 million in January-April 2019, which is by 75.9 percent less (by 77 percent less in money terms) than in January-April 2018.
