Enterprise Azerbaijan portal presented more than 10 innovative projects to assess the distribution of assets in 2020, Manager of the portal Oruj Dursunzade told Trend.
Dursunzade added that the number of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Cultural and Creative Industry (CCI) and socially oriented projects is growing in Azerbaijan.
"A particularly significant leap is observed in the field of ICT. Azerbaijani companies export a significant amount of services in this sector to many countries of the world," he said.
The following categories of startups in our country are the most popular:
1. Electronic trading
2. Electronic transmission of information
3. Digital services
4. Digital and virtual education
5. Processing digital applications
6. Virtual games
7. Gadgets
"Mentor support is provided to start-ups hosting the project on the mentioned portal. The portal also works closely with universities in our country. Only in the first half of 2019, portal representatives conducted training and meetings with about 2,000 students in Azerbaijan," Dursunzade said.
The manager noted that the goal of the portal is to reflect information on open projects and new investment opportunities for alternative financing in Azerbaijan, as well as to become a convenient platform for financing investment projects by local and foreign investors.
“We are contributing to the policy of further enhancing the investment attractiveness of Azerbaijan. To this end, the portal fulfills the mission of providing information to foreign and local investors on investment projects, assets, natural resources and investment opportunities developed by legal entities and individuals. We unite investors in an accessible space in search of investment opportunities with project initiators (promoters) who are in search of potential investors,” Dursunzade said.
Enterprise Azerbaijan was created by Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication in order to enforce the order of the Azerbaijani President on additional measures to support Competitive domestic production in the non-oil sector dated September 19, 2018.
