The exports through the customs of Isfahan Province decreased by 22 percent in terms of value and 15 percent in terms of volume during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020, through January 20, 2021), Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Kuhestani noted that 5.16 million tons of goods worth about $1.73 billion were exported through the customs of Isfahan Province over the reporting period.
Kuhestani added that the cast iron, iron, steel, petroleum products, carpets, organic chemicals, dairy products, rubber products were the main exported goods via the customs of Isfahan Province.
The director-general stressed that the goods are exported to 94 countries through the customs of the province. Within 10 months, the goods were mainly exported to Iraq, the UAE, China, Afghanistan, Thailand, Indonesia, and India.
According to him, 899,000 tons of goods worth $321 million were exported through the Isfahan city customs checkpoint during 10 months.
“In 10 months, Isfahan Province's customs revenue amounted to 2.66 trillion rials (about $63.4 million),” he said.
