Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 May / Trend / In January to March 2008, Azerbaijan imported 96.8mln KW/hour of electric power, which is by 72.3% less than in the same period of 2007. The cost of electric power totalled $3.4mln, which is by 61.4% less than in the same period of 2007.
Import of cement clinkers comprised 223,300 tons (2.1% more than in 2007) and their cost totalled $7.2mln (38.9% less than in 2007). Cement import accounted to 296,600 tons (28.7% more than in 2007) and its price totalled $10mln (12.5% less than in 2007).
In January to March, 2008, Azerbaijan imported 213,500 gas, water and power meters, which is 33.5% less than in the same period of 2007. Their cost totalled $10.3mln, which is 15% more than in 2007.
