Oil produced from 62 wells at Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields in Jan.-Sept.

A total of 62 oil wells were extractive, while 30 wells were used for injection in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field for nine months of 2012, BP official report as of the nine months of 2012 says. During this period, ACG produced 25.3 million tons of oil or 124.5 million barrels of oil in total.

In 2011, a total of 63 oil wells were extractive, while 32 wells were used for injection in the ACG field. ACG produced 35.4 million barrels of oil or 261.9 million barrels.

According to the report, Chirag field had 15 wells (10 oil extractive and 5 water injectors, producing on average of 76,000 b/d.

Central Azeri (CA) field had 19 wells (13 oil extractive, 1 water injector and 5 gas injectors, producing on average 163,000 b/d in Jan.-Sept.

West Azeri (WA) field had 22 wells (16 oil extractive and 6 water injectors), producing on average 192,000 b/d.

East Azeri (EA) field had 16 wells (12 oil extractive and 4 water injectors), producing on average 139,000 b/d in Jan.-Sept.

Deepwater Gunashli (DWG) had 22 wells (11 oil extractive and 11 water injectors), producing on average 114,000 b/d.

Participants of the project to develop Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli are: BP (operator - 35.78 percent), Chevron (11.27 percent), Inpex (10.96 percent), AzACG (11.6 percent), Statoil (8.56 percent), Exxon (8 percent), TPAO (6.75 percent), Itocu (4.3 percent) and Hess (2.72 percent).
