Turkish company Botas International Limited (BIL) shipped 2.64 billion barrels of oil from Ceyhan oil terminal between June 2, 2006 and Feb. 2, 2017, says a message on the company's website Feb. 2.
BIL has been operating the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline on Turkey's territory since 2001.
During the mentioned period, 3,455 tankers were shipped from the terminal, according to the message.
The total length of BТС is 1,768 kilometers. A 443-kilometer section of BТС runs through Azerbaijan, a 249-kilometer section runs through Georgia and a 1,076-kilometer section runs through Turkey.
The construction of the pipeline started in April 2003. The pipeline was filled with oil on May 18, 2005.
