BP is ready to work in the field of renewable energy sources, BP chief economist for Russia and the CIS, Vladimir Drebentsov, said.
Drebentsov made the remark in Baku at the event dedicated to the forecast of energy development until 2040, Trend reports.
“We have been recently expanding our activity in the alternative energy sector,” the chief economist said. “We deal with solar, wind energy.”
Drebentsov also emphasized that BP bought the biggest European solar panel manufacturing company and the biggest electric car charging company in London.
“We, as an energy company, are ready to supply any kind of energy resources that is in demand by society and can be produced on commercial terms,” the chief economist added.
An event dedicated to the statistical review of the world energy and the forecast of energy development until 2040 was held in Baku on October 30, 2019.
