Kazakhstan has produced 13.8 million tons of oil and gas condensate in Jan. through Feb. 2021, which is 1.1 percent more than the plan, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev said, Trend reports citing the ministry.
Nogayev said that 4.3 million tons of the volume were extracted at Tengiz oil and gas field (4.5 percent more than the plan), 2.4 million tons at Kashagan field (3.4 percent more than the plan), and 2.1 million tons at Karachaganak field (meets the plan).
“Currently there is a gradual recovery of the world market of oil and oil quotes. The oil and condensate production for 2021 is expected at 86 million tons. The Ministry will hold a series of events to implement this plan,” Nogayev said.
According to the latest agreements, the obligations of Kazakhstan within the OPEC + framework are adjusted from 17 percent to 15 percent. During the reporting period, 10.75 million tons of oil were exported, which is 100 percent of the plan.
Furthermore, 9.14 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Kazakhstan over the first two months of 2021, which is 0.8 percent more than the plan for the reporting period. Domestic gas consumption reached 4.55 billion cubic meters, which is 7.3 percent more than the plan.
Production of liquefied petroleum gas amounted to 520,000 tons, which meets the plan for the reporting period. During the reporting period, 1.39 billion cubic meters of gas were also exported, which is 22 percent more than the plan.
