ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, June 8. The oil refining plan at Turkmenistan's refineries was exceeded by 2.9 percent from January through May this year, Trend reports.
Batyr Amanov, the deputy chairman of the Turkmenistan government, made this announcement during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, during the specified period, the plan for the production of oil and gas condensate, in particular by the Turkmennebit State Concern of Turkmenistan, was exceeded at 2.6 percent.
"During the period under review, the gasoline production plan was fulfilled by 100.7 percent, diesel fuel by 100 percent, polypropylene by 100 percent, and lubricating oils by 120.9 percent," Amanov said.
In the meantime, the energy sector and oil refining in Turkmenistan are going full steam ahead, with a strong focus on upgrading infrastructure and luring in foreign investors.
The nation's standing in the international energy market has been bolstered by its recent dramatic expansion in oil and gas production and refining.
