ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 8. The volume of oil production in Kazakhstan amounted to 30.26 million tons from January through April 2024, Trend reports, with reference to the Argus' report.
Oil production fell by 0.18 million tons from the same period in 2023, when it was 30.44 million tons.
At the same time, Kazakhstan's oil exports in the first four months of 2024 amounted to 24.26 million tons, which is 1.3 percent more than from January through April 2023 (23.95 million tons).
In addition, the volume of oil refining for the above period in Kazakhstan amounted to 5.5 million tons. There is a reduction of 5.8 percent compared to the first four months of 2023 (5.84 million tons).
By the same token, Kazakhstan produced 90 million tons of oil in 2023, which is 6.9 percent higher than in 2022. Oil exports also increased and amounted to 70.5 million tons, which is 9.6 percent more than the previous year.
Furthermore, Kazakhstan aims to ramp up oil production in 2024 to a whopping 90.3 million tons.
