Kazakhstan unveils volume of remittances with Georgia in July

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 7. About 870 remittances through international money transfer systems (IMTS) were made from Georgia to Kazakhstan in July 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the volume of transfers amounted to 572.8 million tenge (about $1.2 million).

At the same time, 5 billion tenge, or approximately $10.4 million, were transferred from Kazakhstan to Georgia through 2,700 transactions via IMTS.

From this angle, Georgia is sitting pretty at eighth place when it comes to the influx of remittances into Kazakhstan, and a strong fourth when it comes to the outflow of remittances from Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, the total number of money transfers through international money transfer systems (IMTS) in Kazakhstan amounted to 207,500 transactions worth 84.3 billion tenge (about $174 million) in July 2024. Compared to June 2024, there is an increase in the number of transfers by 0.5 percent and in the volume of transactions by 12 percent.
