BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 1. The volume of cargo transportation in Kyrgyzstan considerably increased from January through July 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistics, the volume of cargo transported by all modes of transport in seven months of this year in Kyrgyzstan increased by 38.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2021 (16.8 million tons) - up to 23.3 million tons.
During the reporting period, a total of 18.8 million tons of cargo were transported by road. The main volume of road transport of goods (more than 66 percent) was accounted for by Kyrgyz individual entrepreneurs.
In addition, from January through July 2022, 4.2 million tons of cargo were transported by rail, 175,700 tons - by pipeline transport, and 200 tons by air.
