BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 7. Moreover, the country imported 4,572 heads of large cattle, 1,484 horses, and 70 small cattle animals during the period under review.

The gross output of agricultural, forestry, and fishing products in Kyrgyzstan from January through March 2024 amounted to 38.092 billion ($429.571 million), which is 1.4 percent higher than in the same period of 2023, according to the country's statistical committee.

In the total volume of agricultural production in January-March of the current year, livestock products accounted for 97.1 percent, crop production for 1.7 percent, forestry for 0.1 percent, fishing for 0.3 percent, and services for 0.8 percent.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $2.255 billion in the first two months of 2024, which is 28.3 percent more than in the same period in 2023 ($1.758 billion). Exports reached $307.5 million, increasing by 18.4 percent compared to January–February 2023 ($259.726 million). Imports totaled $1.947 billion, up 30 percent from $1.498 billion in the corresponding months of 2023.
