BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. Turkmen kaolin OJSC is preparing to open a kaolinite production plant located in the village of Jebel in the Balkan region in the west of Turkmenistan after major reconstruction, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Charymyrat Purchekov at a meeting of the government held on November 11.
According to him, the plant with a design capacity of 20,000 tons of products per year will use modern equipment and technologies from leading foreign manufacturers. With its commissioning, more than 70 new jobs will be created.
Purchekov noted that kaolinite is widely used in a number of industries operating in Turkmenistan, in particular for the manufacturing of ceramic goods, sanitary ware, tableware and other products. The finished products of the plant are planned to be sold both on the domestic market and for export.
