TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 18. Arctech, a Chinese solar tracker manufacturer, has entered into a supply agreement with China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) to furnish 1GW of solar trackers in Uzbekistan, Trend reports.

According to the company, the contract entails utilizing Arctech's SkyWings solar tracking system for installations in Qashqadaryo and Buxoro districts. This advanced system incorporates a synchronous multi-point drive mechanism, enhancing module wind resistance. It also maintains exceptional stability across various tilts, accommodating optimal angles for cleaning robots and withstanding Uzbekistan's prevalent sandstorms and arid conditions.

The combined output of these two projects will contribute 2,300 GWh of electricity annually. Lin Xiaodan, Senior VP at CEEC, emphasized the significance of this endeavor as the foremost large-scale new energy initiative undertaken by Chinese firms in Central Asia post the China-Central Asia Summit. The objective is to play a pivotal role in shaping the region's emerging energy landscape.

Arctech has been active in securing projects globally this year. Notably, they have agreed to provide 242 MW of solar trackers for a forthcoming facility in India's Rajasthan state. Additionally, they announced their involvement in delivering 1.5 GW of SkyLine II solar trackers for a project in Saudi Arabia during April.
