Uzbekistan reveals TBC Bank's revenues through payment terminals

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 12. Uzbekistan’s TBC Bank has registered revenues through payment terminals in the amount of 4.2 trillion soums ($332.4 million) from January through June 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the TBC Bank's revenues through payment terminals accounted for 2.7 percent of the total revenues of all banks in Uzbekistan during this period.

The total amount of revenues through payment terminals in the country reached 153.2 trillion soums ($12.1 billion) from January through June 2024. The recorded number reflects a 35.8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, when the bank recorded 112.8 trillion soums ($8.9 billion) worth of transactions through POS terminals.

The country’s Aloqa Bank took the cake with the highest revenue volume of 24.4 trillion soums ($1.9 billion) during this period, while APEX Bank accounted for the smallest volume of revenues through payment terminals with 23 million soums ($1,827).

Meanwhie, TBC Bank’s revenues through payment terminals totaled 2.5 trillion soums ($199.7 million) from January through April 2024.

The bank’s revenues through payment terminals accounted for 2.5 percent of the total revenues of all banks in Uzbekistan during this period.
