Uzbekistan shares Kapitalbank's revenues via payment terminals in 6M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 16. Uzbekistan’s Kapitalbank has registered revenues through payment terminals in the amount of 6.2 trillion soums ($489.8 million) from January through June 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Kapitalbank's revenues through payment terminals accounted for 4 percent of the total revenues of all banks in Uzbekistan during this period.

Overall, the revenues through payment terminals in the country reached 153.2 trillion soums ($12.1 billion) from January through June 2024. The recorded number reflects a 35.8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, when the bank recorded 112.8 trillion soums ($8.9 billion) worth of transactions through POS terminals.

The country’s Aloqa Bank accounted for the highest revenue volume in the amount of 24.4 trillion soums ($1.9 billion) during this period, while APEX Bank accounted for the smallest volume of revenues through payment terminals with 23 million soums ($1,827).

Meanwhile, Kapitalbank’s revenues through payment terminals amounted to 3.95 trillion soums ($315.6 million) from January through April 2024.

The bank’s revenues through payment terminals accounted for 3.9 percent of the total revenues of all banks in Uzbekistan during the reporting period.
