TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 3. Uzbek banks generated an impressive revenue of 181.8 trillion soums ($14.4 billion) through payment terminals during the period of January to July 2024, Trend reports.

As per data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the country’s Aloqa Bank accounted for the highest revenue volume with 28.1 trillion soums ($2.2 billion) during this period, while APEX Bank accounted for the smallest volume of revenues through payment terminals with 336 million soums ($26,689).

This figure shows a 35.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year (112.8 trillion soums or $8.9 billion in January-June 2023).
