TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 5. The volume of receipts through payment terminals in Uzbekistan reached 209.3 trillion soms ($16.3 billion) from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Central Bank of Uzbekistan showed that Aloqa Bank took the leading position with the highest volume of receipts of 31.5 trillion soms ($2.46 billion) during the mentioned period.
The second place was occupied by Ipotekabank, with revenue through payment terminals amounting to 15.1 trillion soms ($1.1 billion). The National Bank of Uzbekistan rounded out the top three with 12.6 trillion soms ($984.9 million).
Meanwhile, APEX Bank posted the least amount of receipts in the country at 433 million soms ($33,846).
The volume of receipts through payment terminals in Uzbekistan from January through July 2024 reached 181.8 trillion soms ($14.4 billion).
The largest volume of receipts through payment terminals fell to Aloqa Bank (28.1 trillion soms, or $2.2 billion), and the smallest to APEX Bank (336 million soms, or $26,689).
