BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. Iran's non-oil trade turnover increased by 9.4 percent during the summer season (from June 21 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from June 22 through September 22, 2023), the member of the International and Foreign Trade Committee of Iran's Chamber of Industries, Mines, and Trade Rouhollah Latifi wrote on the social network, Trend reports.
According to Latifi, Iran's non-oil trade turnover amounted to $30.6 billion during the three months.
Latifi added that $12.3 billion of non-oil turnover came from exports and $18.3 billion from imports. During the three months, non-oil exports increased by 6.2 percent and non-oil imports increased by 11.6 percent compared to last year.
Iran's non-oil trade turnover for six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) amounted to $59 billion.
Based on the statement of Iran's Customs Administration, Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion during the six months. Compared to the same period last year, the export of products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight.
Iran imported $32.6 billion worth of non-oil products during the period mentioned.
