BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. Iran's non-oil products were exported to 78 countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Türkiye, the UAE, Russia, Uzbekistan, India, and Turkmenistan, through the Markazi Province Customs Office located in the center of Iran during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024), the Director General of the Markazi Province Customs Office Rouhollah Gholami told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, 1.3 million tons of non-oil products worth $899 million were exported through the customs of the Markazi Province for seven months. The exports of non-oil products increased by 34 percent in value compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023).
Gholami stated that mainly polyethylene, aluminum ingots, rubber products, glass, ceramics, cement, detergents, and others were exported through provincial customs.
The official added that non-oil products are mainly exported through Arak, Saveh, and Zarandia customs.
To note, Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to 88.7 million tons worth $32.5 billion during seven months of the current Iranian year. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 15 percent in value and 11.4 percent in weight terms.
