BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. A total of 728,000 tons of products worth $404 million were exported from Gilan province located in northern Iran during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024), Chairman of the Industrial, Mining, and Trade Organization of Iran's Gilan Province, Teymour Pour Heydari said, Trend reports.
He stated that the export of products from Gilan province experienced a 1 percent decline in value and a 4 percent increase in weight over eight months compared to the same time last year (from March 21 to November 21, 2023).
In the eight-month period, Heydari observed that $173 million in agricultural products, $137 million in industrial products, $49 million in mining products, and $45 million in petrochemical products were exported.
Meanwhile, Iran's non-oil product exports amounted to about 104 million tons worth about $38.2 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024). Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 18 percent in value and 14.6 percent in weight compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
