Iranian airports witness increase in flight traffic

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 5. The count of passenger planes taking to the skies from Iranian airports saw a jump of 9.8 percent over the seven-month stretch of the current Iranian year (from March 20 to October 21, 2024) when stacked against the same timeframe last year (from March 21 to October 22, 2023).

The data obtained by Trend from the country's Airports Company shows that the number of flights organized through Iranian airports amounted to 185 thousand (185,233) during the seven months.

The statistics show that in the same period last year, the number of passenger airplanes flying through Iranian airports amounted to about 169,000 (168,707).
