BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 9. Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan increased by 20 percent in value and 18.1 percent in weight during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Customs Administration shows that Iran's exports of non-oil products to Turkmenistan for eight months amounted to 1.01 million tons worth about $349 million.
According to statistics, during the same period of the last Iranian year, Iran's non-oil exports to Turkmenistan amounted to 856,000 tons worth about $290 million.
The statistics add that agricultural and food products, industrial products, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemical products, etc. were exported.
The information shows that Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Turkmenistan amounted to 1.02 million tons worth $363 million for eight months.
To note, Iran's non-oil exports for eight months amounted to more than 90 million tons worth $32.2 billion. Compared to the same period last year, the export of non-oil products decreased in value terms by 1.6 percent and increased in weight terms by 27 percent.
