Iran's import of products from Kazakhstan descends

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11. Iran's imports of products from Kazakhstan decreased by 25.5 percent in value and 22 percent in weight terms during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through November 2024) compared to the same month of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).

The data obtained by Trend from the country's Customs Administration shows that during eight months Iran's imports from Kazakhstan amounted to 82,900 tons valued at $35.4 million.

Statistics show that during eight months of last year, Iran imported 106,000 tons of products worth $47.6 million from Kazakhstan.

Information adds that Iran imported from Kazakhstan mainly agricultural products, various equipment, and other things.

Moreover, the statistics add that Iran's trade turnover with Kazakhstan for eight months amounted to 417,000 tons worth $211 million.

Iran's imports of non-oil products amounted to 24.5 million tons worth $45.1 billion during the eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024). Imports of non-oil products increased by 6.9 percent in value and decreased by 1.73 percent in weight during the eight months compared to last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).

To note, Iran mainly focuses on importing necessary goods needed by the country in importing products and imposes certain restrictions on importing products manufactured in the country.
