BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 14. Iran's imports of products from Azerbaijan decreased by 31.7 percent in value and 32.5 percent in weight during nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 2024) compared to the same period of the last year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Customs Administration shows that for nine months Iran's import of products from Azerbaijan amounted to 10,600 tons for the sum of $26.3 million.
Data indicates that during the corresponding timeframe of the
previous year, Iran engaged in the importation of 15,700 metric
tons of goods, with a total valuation of $38.5 million, sourced
from Azerbaijan.
As per indicators, Iran engaged in the procurement of diverse
apparatus, processed soybeans, an array of profiles, and additional
commodities from Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, the data indicated that the volume of Iran's non-oil
commodities exchange with Azerbaijan reached 665,000 tons,
translating to an approximate valuation of $539 million over a
nine-month period.
To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products totaled 27.9 million tons worth about $50.9 billion. Iran's imports of non-oil products increased by 5 percent in value and decreased by 3.16 percent in weight over nine months compared to last year.
