BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan decreased by 16 percent in value terms and by 22.3 percent in weight terms in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024) compared to the same period last year, the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
According to statistics, for 11 months, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 551,000 tons worth about $246 million.
During the same period last year, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 709,000 tons worth about $293 million.
Statistics show that Iran and Kazakhstan exchanged mainly agricultural and food products, tobacco products, petrochemical products, wheat, barley, various types of equipment, and so on.
The information indicates that during the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2024), Iran's trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to about 43,000 tons worth $26 million.
To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, Iran's trade turnover for 11 months amounted to about $139 billion. Compared to the same period last year, trade turnover increased by 2.7 percent in value terms.
