State police: Bomb explodes at an Oregon bank

Oregon State Police say a bomb has detonated has exploded at a bank after it was evacuated and caused serious injuries, reported AP.

Newspaper reports said at least one bomb technician and two bank employees were hurt in the Friday night blast at West Coast Bank in Woodburn, south of Portland. A bank official said the employees did not have life-threatening injuries.

A news release from Oregon State Police said the bomb detonated after police arrived to inspect a suspicious device. It also said there were "serious injuries."

The Oregonian reports the bank had been evacuated before the bomb detonated.
