A meeting was held in honor of Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis in Batumi Sheraton Hotel. The head of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Levan Varshalomidze, members of the government and other officials attended the meeting, the Adjaran government told Trend
He said that opening of the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Batumi will intensify bilateral relations. "This will strengthen our good relations. It will promote developing of cultural and business contacts," he said.
Varshalomidze expressed hope to draw new Azerbaijani investments in Georgia and develop tourism.
